LIFE Play

Through LIFE play we aim to use play as a gateway to connect with the whole family, we intend to facilitate a safe, secure, fun environment in which children can play, imagine, explore and create.

Whilst they are pursuing this, we want to connect and build relationships with parents and seek to take a holistic approach to the care of the family, engaging them in programs, activities and conversations that will help them grow, restore hope and bring dignity to them as a family.

Bradford is home to a number of areas which fall into the 0.01% most deprived in the UK. It is also acknowledged as being the youngest city in the UK. With historically failing Children’s Services, the agenda for families and children is one of the top needs of our local council’s strategic plan.

We believe in the importance of strong, healthy families; we also understand the complexities of family life and parenting, particularly with the additional pressures of our current economic climate. It’s one of our consistent goals to provide a source of support for local families.

Programs and courses may include:

  • English as a second language
  • Parenting courses
  • Parenting mentoring
  • Additional needs support (through our sensory room)
  • Family counselling services
